5 Incredible Celebrities Body Transformation

Christian Bale

Christian dropped more than 60 pounds from his normal weight to play the lead role in The Machinist. In the five months between finishing that role and starting shooting for Batman Begins, Christian had to train and eat his way from 120 pounds to 220. Unfortunately, Batman director Christopher Nolan felt Bale had bulked up too much and had him drop 20 of the 100 pounds he had just gained.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman took his strength and physique to new heights at an age when most men are slowing down. His trainer tells us how it happened and shares the 4-week program that made this man into a mutant!
Wolverine is a badass. There's no doubt about it. He's more than 100 years old, fluent in more than seven languages, and has trained as a samurai in Japan. His claws and bones are made of adamantium, an indestructible metal that can cut through any known substance.

Chris Hemsworth

Hemsworth packed on 20 pounds of muscle by eating constantly. Why He Did It: For his role as Thor in the action-packed blockbuster Thor. What He Ate: Hemsworth opted for high-protein foods, but also relied on non-processed carbs like fruits to help rebuild muscle by slowing muscle protein breakdown. Fiber-rich vegetables helped his cardiovascular health and muscle recovery. He made sure that what he was eating counted, eating quinoa instead of rice since it has protein & healthy fats and fewer carbs.

 Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy has never been slim, but in the photos and video clips of the actor in character as Bane, he looks absolutely massive. Fanboys have complained that Hardy doesn’t look like someone that can bench 1,500 pounds, but the actor has certainly thrown himself into the role, putting on over 30 pounds in just 3 months.
Hardy attributes his muscle gain to a diet very heavy in chicken and broccoli. He also said that all he did was lift weights, eat, and be careful not to run anywhere for fear of losing weight during his preparation for The Dark Knight Rises. Though his transformation may not be as extreme as some of the other ones on this list, it’s still impressive and definitely earns our respect.

Chris Pratt

“Three or four hours a day of just consistent, ass-kicking hard work.”

That’s how Chris Pratt, our July/August cover guy and star of the upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy, ditched 60 pounds in six months. Pratt, who is most known for playing Andy Dwyer in the sitcom Parks and Recreation, was in the neighborhood of 300 pounds when he auditioned for the Marvel movie scheduled to release August 1.

Later, Pratt, who turns 35 on Saturday, sent ripples through Hollywood when he posted a shirtless selfie on Instagram, showing off a chiseled frame and six-pack abs with a caption that read: “Six months no beer. #GOTG Kinda douchy to post this but my brother made me.” Pratt’s brother helped him land the lead role of Star-Lord with that photo.
